Happy Monday! Hope everyone’s weekend was fabulous:) Mine was pretty low-key – was able to get quite a bit of crafting done which always makes me happy:)
I’m super excited to have picked up Echo Parks ‘A Boy’s Life’ this weekend!! It is new & uber-cute!
I thought I’d try my hand at making some ‘Paper-Lunch-Bag’ Mini-Albums – one for each of my boys. I’ve seen them around on different sites and they look adorable! Using 3 bags for each album, I was able to get the base paper layer down so far & they are turning out better than I could have hoped – and what an awesome, inexpensive way to make a recycled album? I’ll have ‘finished product’ photos soon:)
Today I’m sharing a card I made for this week’s Queen of my Craftroom Challenge: “Stamps only card challenge – No cricut machine, etc. Stamps only!” Well, I fully admit, I’m not an avid stamper, but a couple years ago, my mom gave me her entire collection of stamps, ink, embossing powders, chalk, etc…, so I did have quite a variety to choose from. My youngest son thought this JRL Design ‘Smile’ stamp was ‘Awesome!’ & I had to create a birthday card for my niece’s 15th birthday party coming up… so this is what I came up with…:)
I used Six by Six by My Mind’s Eye ‘Everyday Flair’ paper, Tim Holtz Distress Ink ‘Victorian Velvet for the edging and base stamp color, Tim Holtz Distress Powder ‘Tattered Rose’ for the stamp embossing, and JRL Design ‘Smile’ Stamp. I’m a HUGE Fan of Tim Holtz’s Distressed Products – I think distressed edges make colors pop:) And of course, for those that know me, I love using pennants and banner flags in my projects – they add a ‘festive feel’…
I hope you enjoyed the card & thanks for stopping by! Don’t forget to hop over to Queen of my Craftroom through out this week to check out the other ladies’ take on the challenge!:)
